Kelvin Hernandez

Kelvin is a student-driven instructor who prides himself in equipping each trainee with multifaceted skill sets needed to be the best automotive technician. Prior to M.A.T, Kelvin was a smog and repair technician hungry to learn. Unsatisfied with the speed at which he was learning, he joined the team. He enjoys the challenging work that pushes him to be better everyday. Kelvin holds various credentials including Smog Technician, Smog Repair Technician, ASE Certified A-5, A-6, A-8, G-1and L-1. When he’s not perfecting his craft, Kelvin stays busy taking care of his American Terrier or he’s playing basketball, listening to music and trying out new restaurants.

Oscar Gomez

As the Founder of M.A.T, Oscar has been molding the automotive technicians of tomorrow for over 10 years. Automotive fuels everything he does. Coming from a family of technicians, he’s always been exposed to the craft. Oscar is constantly learning and networking to maintain the prestige of the program. He boasts an extensive list of credentials, which gives him great confidence that students will leave his class feeling 100x more knowledgeable. His lessons are driven on being simple and easy to understand. Oscar cuts down on the jargon and puts complex subject matter into layman’s terms. He is always learning so it’s not uncommon to find him reading or attending trainings to further his craft. Oscar’s an avid cyclist and connoisseur. He is a private pilot so you can find him enjoying the local cuisine wherever the skies take him.
